 Gatecrasher sees a move towards London, and Paul Oakenfold comes out of nowhere to hit the decks at Gatecrasher.
With Paul van Dyk heading up Gatecrashers' night at London's "Heaven" next Friday/Saturday evening from midnight to 3am, some might wonder why this has happened, and why the choice of such a small venue.
Well, there has been word circulating that Gatecrasher's presence in the north will be diminishing at the Crasher crew aim for some critical expansion in the current scene where Ministry of Sound, Cream, Gatecrasher battle for the top position in the global leagues. The London night looks to be the start of many nights in 2002 in which Gatecrasher will be playing and it will enable those who live in the South East of england and those from Europe, better access to the much acclaimed night.
To spark it off, it'll be Paul van Dyk on the decks from midnight to 3am, and possibly longer, this marks one of Paul's few revivals to return to London since his infamous set at Home in April of 2000, where the essential mix rocked everyone from this side of the globe to the other.
i:Vibes is looking to be attending next week's Gatecrasher event in London, and will be bringing a little something for all those readers next week =)
Also to come is Paul Oakenfold's return to the UK club scene. With Oakenfold seemingly disappeared from the UK scene and moved himself over to the US and beyond over the past few years since his residency at Home fell through, this is quite a surprise to those who still follow his industry leading sounds and sets. May 18th is the date when Paul Oakenfold will be playing at the usual crasher arena, and so get your tickets now, coz loads will be lining up to go and see him!
