© Guro JoshIt's been over two decades since Guru Josh last had a decent single release. The man we all know for 'Infinity' is out of hibernation with a brand new single called 'My Burning Bush'. What is his return to the production scene like? Well, pretty s**t to put it bluntly...

Guru Josh is somewhat of a legend in the dance world having had more than 12 million official sales of his ‘Infinity’ single which was original released back in 1989. In a recent interview the Guru made the track to promote a mates warehouse party but it soon caught the ear of a publisher who wanted to release it as a single. The singles popularity spread like a nuclear explosion and was one of the biggest dance tracks during the 90’s, its not surprising its popularity has brought it over 876 compilation appearances.

I remember hearing it earlier in the 90’s as I got into this thing called dance music and remember talking to mate about Guru Josh. What other tracks has it got? The answer as I scrawled the record shops was, not that many, and the ones I did find like ‘Move Your Body’ and ‘Whose Law Is It Anyway’ was awful. After a string of horrific follow ups its no surprise to see after 1991 the single releases started to dry up. He did have ‘Infinity’ come out again in 2008 with a few commercial mixes which went down well with the cheesy house crowd.

Well, I can only assume the royalties off his one hit wonder are running thin as he’s now back with a new tune called 'My Burning Bush'. If he uses a ghost producer I’d have him sacked and if he doesn’t, I’d hide the Albeton software to avoid any more production embarrassments. His new single is pretty shocking, it’s great to see him back but not with a single so dodgy if it were a car he would have a mate pass an MOT on it with no wheels, seats and a police aware sticker on the front window.

I’ll let your ears decide if you take my opinion on it but don’t say I’ve not warned you.
