There is a new DJ agency in town and they are coming packed with some serious trance firepower with Gary Maguire, Lostly, Oberon, Thomas Datt, Peter Plaznik and Chris Hamshire on the books...
There are a lot of things your top line DJ has to juggle around with these days and worrying about bookings, appearances and keeping the diary in check can be an overwhelming task. That’s where the DJ agency comes in to assist with artist’s promotion and event bookings. This week a brand new agency has been announced with strong affiliation to the Recoverworld network and with that it brings some seriously talented and experienced trance jocks. They are the Militant Artists but they won’t be firing off rockets, just setting off one bomb after the next on every dance floor and speaker their beats happen to hit.
Just take the look at the announced roster so far and quality is not the word, the line up is better than that. You can find out more about the agency by looking on their official website. While the agency may be new, they draw on over 25 years of experience in the scene with an army of contacts waiting to spread the good music far and wide.
THE MILITANT ARTISTS
Gary Maguire’s influence on the trance scene cannot be understated. Emerging from a successful career on the hardcore circuit, his uniquely blended style of trance was spotted in 2008 by John Askew who quickly signed him to the Discover imprint.
Lostly started DJing at the tender age of 13. With a passion for music & DJing he went all out to break into the industry, which was already brimming with talented artists. Throughout the years he's become widely acclaimed for his intense stage presence, as well as his outrageous antics behind the decks, spanning several different musical scenes and movements.
Oberon is one of a very few DJs that can lay claim to being one of the forefathers of a genre. During the 1990’s, he championed the sound through both DJ sets and productions, which fused the harder-edge of Techno with the melodic-side of Trance. Fast-forward several years, the sound we now refer to as Tech-Trance is as popular as ever, with the UK label Discover Dark being at the forefront of the scene.
Thomas Datt has been a name synonymous with quality trance music since 2003, after having taken his first steps in the global dance arena. From his early remixes to his breakout hit “Alone”, Datt continues to pump out some of the most emotive music going. It’s no mistake that Thomas continues to be one of the most sought after rising stars of EDM.
Peter Plaznik is well known for his productions on Discover Dark. His tracks are highly energetic, mystical and quite psychoactive. His intention is to turn the listeners to listen to what is on his mind, that's why the most of his original tracks include vocal speeches that talk about our global situation.
Chris Hampshire has been involved in dance music since the very beginning, when in the early nineties he was a regular at Brighton’s infamous Zap Club. He now presides over a suite of labels under the Recoverworld banner and has helped launch the careers of some of industries biggest hitters.
