 He has been behind the decks since the tender age of 13 and really burst onto the trance scene last year gathering the attention of many of the well established names in the scene. After a flurry of superb singles he's about to debut his first solo collection this Autumn...
It was not that long ago when Lostly was a name nobody in the scene would have heard of. The man behind the alias is South African born Andre Frauenstein who started to DJ at the age of just 13. He has had a steady rise up the ranks with releases on labels like Armada, Kearnage and Discover. His music must have struck a good chord with Discover because after the loss of John Askew to Perfecto the label approached Lostly and offered him the head of A&R position. That’s not a job any old jock can just step into filling in the void left by Askew who had been at the label fro the start.
It’s a position which Lostly has thrived upon and the Discover label goes from strength to strength with every new release. It’s no surprise then that his debut album will be making an appearance on Discover. The release for this trance expedition from Lostly will be October and you can listen to previews of ten of the tracks to feature from the album right now on his Soundcloud page. The title track from the album ‘No Direction Home’ will be getting the full music video treatment at the end of this month and I would expect to be the first single to come from it.
