Due to the 10th year anniversary, Bonzai decided to re-release this immense track with a few new remixes. First part had Airwave as the remixer, second part has Liquid Overdose (aka Push) and Baby Doc & The Dentist.
This record contains the remixes part 2. The first record had the Airwave Remix and the Original Remix. This record contains the Liquid Overdose Remix (Liquid Overdose = Push / M.I.K.E.) and Baby Doc & The Dentist Remix.
Tracklisting: A. Liquid Overdose Remix B. Baby Doc & The Dentist Remix
A. Liquid Overdose Remix. This starts off immediately with a hard beat, and some background noises. It has from the start a lot of different layers, which add to the track. But the actual melody that was used in the Original Mix is far fetched at the start of track. But when the original melody kicks in, you hear that it’s good, it has the typical Push sound to it, lots of bass, lots of variation. The last part of the track, is really good, adds some new strings, and new layers. This remix keeps a lot of the old track, but adds just enough to it, to make it completely new and fresh.
Great remix in my opinion.
B. Baby Doc & The Dentist Remix . This is les hard at the start then the Liquid Overdose Remix. It has new elements, which are perfect for this track. You hear it, and it doesn’t remind you that this is in fact a remix of Jones & Stepheson’s First Rebirth. This could be a track on it’s own. The melody actually starts in the breakdown, when there is no beat, but you hear a screechy sound in it. This remix is once again, a great remix.
If I have to chose between the two remixes I would go with the Liquid Overdose. But overall, the Airwave Remix gets my vote. It’s just the best in my opinion.
But when I hear the original, then I just go crazy, cause it’s a classic, it’ll never die.
Conclusion:
