© Militant ArtistsThe Recoverworld label would not be where it is today without its founder Chris Hampshire. He is also the head Militant of an army of trance producers known as the Militant Artists which under Recoverworld's Discover label will be bringing you the presents series, starting with Chris Hampshire...

Since the formation of Militant Artists back in the summer - there has been no shortage of news worthy stories and this week is no exception! As the Militant Trance Army marches forwards to the frontline of the trance scene, we launch 'Militant Artists Presents' - an exciting new series of compilations, being released on Discover Records! And it seems fitting that the first one is brought to you by the man that oversees the entire operation - Chris Hampshire.

One of the pioneers of the scene which now crosses many genres, his pilgrimage started at a time when dance music was - simply dance music! Having developed his career as a forward thinking producer in the early 90's and in more recent years, a hard hitting trance DJ, he now presides over a suite of labels and some of the best artists in the business, under the collective name The Recoverworld Label Group. With well over 3000 tracks in the catalogue, there is arguably no one better to present a mix of underground trance classics that has helped to provide the sound track to the last decade. Including massive tunes from Sly One & Jurrane, Sean Tyas, John Askew, John O'Callaghan, Bryan Kearney and of course the man himself, this album is a pure and hedonistic trip down trance Memory Lane and some may say a pre-cursor to a new generation trance movement!

In recent years Chris has balanced his production career with the needs of running his empire and has very much applied a quality over quantity approach. His collaborations with Bissen, Thomas Datt and Senadee achieved far reaching critical acclaim and his first solo single for over 10 years 'Ninety Four' is to date one of Discover's biggest selling releases.

CHRIS HAMPSHIRE - NINETY FOUR

Having played the famous South African live events venue, Truth Nightclub, Johannesburg, back in the summer, Hampshire already has a number of events lined up for 2015! So watch this space for updates and if you cant wait until then, you can download Militant Artists presents... Chris Hampshire from Beatport, iTunes and all other well known download stores!
