The former Nu-NRG and current PureNRG man Giuseppe Ottaviani has announced his brand new artist album this week called 'ALMA'. The third solo project from the trance Italian stallion will be out at the end of September...
Good news for the trance fans out there this week as Giuseppe Ottaviani has announced his new artist album will be release at the end of September on Black Hole Recordings. He first formed his reputation as one half of Nu-NRG well over a decade ago and after the announcement that project was over he went on the solo mission. It’s fair to say out of the two Nu-NRG names Giuseppe has enjoyed the better success as he continued with the trance and has formed a great respect from fans with a string of super releases.
In recent years his partnership with Solarstone under the PureNRG banner has gone from strength to strength and only enhanced his reputation as one of the trance top guys even more. It’s easy to tell a track by Giuseppe as he does put his own style stamp on his productions. What to expect from this new solo project then? It’s definitely not just an extension of his former long player ‘Magenta’ but a new two year journey with plenty of diverse recordings within.
"ALMA is the result of a two year long journey, that’s taken place both in and out of the studio. Artistically it’s the natural next step in my career. In terms of its content, it won’t be simply ‘Magenta Pt. II’. With its variety, it’s going to bring several new perspectives to my music. I see myself as not ‘just’ a producer, but as a music lover and ‘ALMA’ is something that’s come from deep within my soul.” Giuseppe Ottaviani
All very promising stuff then and with the album being 100% new you will not have heard anything on it before. That’s if he has not been slipping a few tracks in his live sets of late anyway. No tracklist yet for this but if the music is as good as it should be, you don’t really need one.
Full tracklist details remained under wraps, but Giuseppe states that 'ALMA' would be comprised of “100% new studio material”, (apparently counting out recent single outings ‘Musica’ & ‘Doctor Who’). ‘Slow Emotion’ - his just-released 110bpm boundary-breaker would though feature amongst ‘ALMA’s number and that Paul van Dyk, Christian Burns and Kyler England had been involved in various aspects of its production.
:: Tracklist TBA
RELEASE DATE: 30th September (Black Hole Recordings)
