Katana are here again with their amazing unique world famous sound, also featuring another excellent bouncy more energetic track on the B side
Not just one track, but two. These two productions are from some of the scene's newest and most talented artists: Mark Norman and Katana, two great tunes which are currently getting played my Armin and Marco which will sure to be hammered during the summer months...
A1: Katana - Dulce Vita B1: Mark Norman - Tell Me
A1: Katana - Dulce Vita 'Dulce Vita' (meaning 'pleasant life' in latin) starts off with just some african sounding drums and nice jazzy hithats accompaning it, until a huge chunky and driving bassline kicks in and you cant help but jive to the rythm. Not fast or energetic, but so cool and collecting that it can get any crowd going - as it has sounds from all genres, but mainly keeping to the stuff Katana do best: trance/techno genre smashing !! :D
With remnants of 'Fancy Fair' and 'Gemini' (two tunes Katana are well known for), 'Dulce Vita' wonderfully combines most genres together in one, and with plays this summer expected from Marco V, Mauro Picotto, Joy Kitikonti and DJ Tiesto to name a few, this tune will get most people going on them hot ibiza nights.
B1: Mark Norman - Tell Me This is the more energetic of the two... pumping kicks, dark and chunky bass and wierd stabs throughout, this is gonna rock the evening. Sounding similar to the 'Mauro Picotto Remix' of Musique Vs. U2's 'New Years Dub', this is gonna be a big one this ibiza summer. Sweet female vocals put in for good measure, and a constant but building tune till the end, check this out for your hearing pleasure !!
Again, this tune would fit great in a: Marco V or Mauro Picotto set, and if you are going to ibiza this year - go and see Tiesto with Paul Van Dyk at: Amnesia, as he is bound to play it.
Conclusion... Very different in their own rights, 'Tell Me' the more up-tempo stomper whilst keeping a cool, layed back approach, and 'Dulce Vita' the chunky, tribal, genre crossing monster with its slow but great sounding vibe throughout are gonna wreck ibiza this summer (and it aint far away).
Vote for yourself which is best, and leave a message in the forum...
