 Paul Oakenfold has been in a different kind of tour over the past few months as he takes you through three decades of dance with his Generations tour. The music from that tour can all be found in a new three disc compilation…
Paul Oakenfold is a true legend of the dance scene and has been behind some of the most iconic dance tracks ever released. The man at the top of the Perfecto tree has been banging out the beats for over three decades. He started out as just a clubber with a love for dance but that love soon took him into production and spinning the beats behind the decks. His record label Perfecto is one which has brought some of the true classic that has defined a genre over the past few decades. At the start of this year he launch a new tour looking back at the past , present and future spread over three generations of dance music. This is the Generations tour and he is right in the middle of it with tour dates announced throughout the summer.
It’s safe to say wherever Paul plays; he does so to a packed house full of clubbers with a love for dance music and a mixture of ages. It doesn’t matter how old you are, dance music can spread over many generations and the music Paul is bringing to this tour reflects that. No tour would be complete without an audio soundtrack for those not being able to attend. That soundtrack is here in the shape of a three disc compilation.
