JFK are back with this stormer, treading water between hard house and trance with plenty of cross-over appeal. Not one to be missed...

This is JFK's third track on 'Y2K Records', with plays already from: Fergie, Judge Jules, and Public Domain, 'Sound Of Blue' looks like being the Passion resident's best track to date... A storming hard house/uplifting, melodic trance sound with huge cross-over appeal, this will be doing the rounds at all the clubs this summer.

B1: JFK - Sound Of Blue (Nu Renegades Mix)

A1: JFK - Sound Of Blue (Original Mix)
Sharp stabbing kicks with a fast tempo, hard house style - the opening leaves no time to prepare. Building into a typical hard house tune for the first 2 minutes, you could wonder when the trance will start... but then it hits you. A huge break down of emotional and euphoric synths and the vocals: "Sound Of Blue" takes the tune into a totally different mood. With the great tune accompanied by the hard house sound of JFK makes an interesting piece of quality dance floor material, not one to be missed, a really recommended tune.

B1: JFK - Sound Of Blue (Nu Renegades Mix)
Although well known for hard house, Nu Renegades start off the more trancey, with a typical beat and style, but this then turns into a drilly, swirling sound that is hard house to the bone. A sweet pan-pipe sound of the synth off the original starts and the tune takes a nice twist, edging more uplifting hard house than uplifting trance.
Great break-down which makes the glow-stick generation sigh with relief (as their arms would be tired by now). The tune starts, and this feels better than the original as it builds much better, and creates a unique vibe of hard house - trance.

 Conclusion...
In my opinion, the 'Nu Renegades Mix' is the best, creating a cool sound of beautiful uplifting trance with hard house. Don't rule out the original however; this has great potential, and dance-floor material. Get ready for the months to come because this might get hammered until the cows come home.
