Twan from Muzikxpress is back with another trance legend for his latest interview on the channel. He managed to catch a few words with Solarstone while attending the Amsterdam Dance Event a few weeks ago…
If you have ever wondered what the inspiration behind some of your favourite trance records were then you will find no better place than Muzikxpress. Its not just trance they focus on but a whole host of everything good with music. Hosted by its founder Twan the channel is dedicated to bringing the stories behind the music. For a trance fan like me when he does have an artist on the channel my ears prick up more than usual.
In his latest interrogation he has one of the pure legends of the scene in for a good grilling in UK trance artist Solarstone, otherwise known as Rich Mowatt. The creator of ‘Pure Trance’ and many of the scenes most iconic records like ‘Seven Cities’ and ‘Naked Angel’. He talks about how the record ‘Seven Cities’ came about, how the title of the record was formed and what equipment he used to craft together such a masterpiece.
It’s a very insightful interview as Twan asked about the ‘Pure Trance’ movement, how it came about and Rich’s thoughts on ghost producers within the industry. For any trance lover it’s a must watch.
