This is your chance to be the next DJ superstar, following in the likes of: Paul Oakenfold and Seb Fontaine, how would you like to be the next cream resident?
The lucky winner will be following in the footsteps of previous Cream residents the legendary Paul Oakenfold and Seb Fontaine and current local hero, Yousef, all whom have gone on to the elite status of Superstar DJ's!
This is how:
The competition launched on 10th May 2002, with all entries having to be in by the 6th June. Entrants will be selected down to 50 finalists who will then be divided into 10 regional heats where the 5 best DJ’s will battle it out in front of friends and clubbers as well as the Cream Resident panel. One winner from each region will then perform in Annexe3 at the legendary Cream nightclub, in Liverpool, in September where the panel will make their final decision. The winner will be officially crowned as the new Cream resident DJ in October in time for the winner to play at Creamx10 birthday weekend.
The judging panel for the regional heats includes: Sister Bliss, Iain Hoskins, Neil Bentley, Conor McNicholas and Ralph Moore. (Big names in music, from magazines to managers)
The winner will not only receive the title of Cream Resident but will also win the chance of a lifetime, to perform at Cream’s Birthday weekend and have their DJ set broadcast live on a national radio network, as well as a guaranteed 52 Cream dates in 2003 - with one gig a month at Cream in Liverpool. Also included in this money can't buy prize is a Muzik magazine covermount CD, a two hour slot on Galaxy Network and Juice FM in Liverpool, Sony Minidisc equipment, and the chance to play at Cream's 10th anniversary weekend at Nation in Liverpool on October 12th 2002.
To enter the competition collect you will have to collect an application form from Muzik Magazine.
