The Westwood Bros. are back with another Edition of their special tactics. Three awesome techno tracks to check out!
After releasing the first 'Special tactics' late last year, The second edition is now available on the
'Construct 030' label and the record features the following tracks:
A1: Tactics4 B1: Tactics5 B2: Tactics6
A1: Tactics4 There's no messing about here. Its straight into a nice hard pumping beat with an awesome schranz techno sound to it. This really is a powerful production sure to send those bodies crazy on the dance floors of the techno clubs. There's a slight break down about a minute in to the track which is where the schranz melody comes in. As the track progresses threes an awesome reverbing effect on the melody making a crazy but fantastic effect. This truly is an awesome piece of techno :)
B1: Tactics5 The second track isn't quite paced as the first. However, its very very deep! There's also vocals in this production to help make it considerately different from the other special tactics tracks. There's a very weird sounding melody half way through accompanied by the whispering vocals and then before you know it, the extremely deep and hard beat is dropped in. Tactics5 is an extremely deep techno production.
B2: Tactics6 Another hard hitting techno track from Westwood Bros. which is no disappointment :) This one isn't quite as deep as Tactics5 and not quite as fast as Tactics4 to give you an idea... There's some wicked male techno style vocals in the production talking about exploring life. There's a high melody in this track also which makes a nice change from the other two, its a repeating high noted tone which goes well with the hard beat and vocals.
Conclusion
Westwood Bros. have three excellent productions available on this one record. Well worth buying if you can find somewhere where its available. 9/10
