The Danish label Brother Brown has done it again. There are out with a new 12" in a whole new style of house.
Danish Label Brother Brown founded in 1995 has yet again publish a great 12". This time they are faeturing Orange - Remember me. It comes with a double track 12", with the original mix on A side and Brother Brown Amsterdam Mix on the other.
A. Original The start-up phase is rather long, but as soon as the themes is beginning to kick in, the track turns out to be pretty good. The hard massive main bass goes steady for the well know 4/4 all the way through. On this original track they have made a little teasing subtheme with a lighter bass, that brings much melody into it. The floating theme of violins and piano complete the track as a laid back groove with alot of soul. The smooth male vocals make my mind flow to a state of relaxing, rahter than jumping around dancing. This easy listining house here is well made.
B. This track is much like the first one, but is more chilled. It has ambient relations, wich brings a charateristic ralxed feeling up in you. The sound here is dubbed, wich makes the groove smoother. The floating themes keep the atmosphere complete by letting you into a tracetic state of mind.
Definately not a club hit, but would suite summer cafés along the beach, for a chill and a sweet tasting drink. Laid back house when it is best. Dinner music in for the future, not too hard, and not too lazy. Can´t compete with their last release Star Cathing Girl, wich absolutly was a smashhit, but then again that was in a completly different genre. All in all, a good record for the summer cafés, to chill you in the sun.
