The latest release on Incentive Records is one from KMC, an unheard of production team which has put together a nice track, with a bit of added touch from Tillman Uhrmacher and G & M, this is one for the progressive trance fans amongst you.
KMC is the latest act to be put out on UK's Incentive label, which in the past have brought you the likes of Matt Darey, Orion and Taiko. They have now put out their latest release over 2 vinyls, one touching those progressive minded folks, and this one with the more uplifting and melodic than its counterpart.
The latest release on the Incentive attack is this track from KMC, featuring vocalist simply known as "Dhany". This '2nd' vinyl has some truly nice mixes on it, including the massive Tillman Uhrmacher Remix which Armin van Buuren picked up the other week.
Tracklist:
A1. Tillman Uhrmacher Light Mix B1. G & M Project Mix B2. Tillman Uhrmacher Dark Mix
A1. Tillman Uhrmacher Light Mix
A seemingly progressive builder which has been picked up by Armin van Buuren et al, this is the best mix out of the 3 in my opinion and is a quality rumbling progressive vocal trancer. The build for this track is nothing special in most people's opinion including mine, but once the vocals kick in, it becomes a nice bubbly progressive vocal tantriliser which would fit any big trance DJ's box at the moment. Dhany's vocals are an excellent compliment to the track and I think that without the vocals the track would lose a lot of marks. Incentive have primed themselves with some of the finest releases in the trance genre over the past couple of years and this track symbolises just that! Definitely a great one!
B1. G & M Project Mix
This remix done by Robert Gitelman and Jaron Martinez is slightly on the more chilly and breezy subliminal side of things, with a Ibiza-esque Chicane style guitary bassline which stays bubbly throughout the majority of the track. The vocals have been kept relatively low-keyed as the aim for this track is more orientated towards the dubbier side of things. The break is a beautifully melodic vocal tainted section and if this break was combined with the Tillman Uhrmacher Light Mix, i think that would be truly spectacular. The break then swells into a more uplifting and euphoric finale which the other 2 mixes do not see, and would perhaps suit the slightly harder DJs if sped up a bit, but nonetheless, a great remix from G & M Project.
B2. Tillman Uhrmacher Dark Mix
A totally different affair from the other 2 remixes, this is more techy and electronic than the other 2 and would be something that DJ Remy or Marco V would seemingly pick up. Dirty bass stabs and air swooshes seem to put this track into a techy side of trance genre, but then when the break comes about, it appears that this has been defied as the euphoric breakdown ensues be it a bit more tech-edged and dubby. Personally, not something I would play, but then again that doesn't mean too much =). If you think the other Tillman Uhrmacher mix is slightly too euro-trance / dance style, then this mix may be for you!
Also on another LP, are the other remixes of "I Feel So Fine" by Mara, Vision, and Pieraja Dark which would suit those more progressive minded fans, but overall this LP is a pretty good one and recommended for the fans of Tillman Uhrmacher or Incentive Records, a solid 7.5/10 from myself!
