It was very welcome news for the house community following the relaunch of DJ International at the start of the year. Now is time to enjoy the new music with a new single from Chicago’s very own Tyler James Logsdon…
Following the announcement of its relaunch at the beginning of the year, iconic house music label DJ International present the next installation of their catalogue. Chicago native & fresh electronic music producer Tyler James Logsdon’s ‘Movement Three’ is out now in anticipation of the forthcoming Jackmaster 7 compilation. Here they bring us brand new, authentic, original sounding House music from a fresh new emerging talent. A contemporary track that sounds like it was created in the late 80’s house movement illustrating DJ Internationals intention to bring new music as well as rep-present its timeless classics. Tyler James Logsdon’s ‘Movement Three’, exhibits nostalgia of early House in its pumping melodic lines emanating from distorted layers of keys and synths. Its production is akin to the proto-dance floor fillers that emerged from Chicago House in the 80s, demonstrating the evolution and substance of the classic electronic music from that era to now. The single is taken from the forthcoming Jackmaster 7 compilation the first compilation release in thirty years and will contain a posthumous Frankie Knuckles track ‘Carefree (I Am A Star)’ as well as tracks from House legend Anthony Thomas and more. DJ International is the iconic record label steeped in authenticity and dance music history. It was the label that introduced the world to Chicago House, birthing it and nurturing it in its infancy, releasing the first ever House Music long player in 1986 ‘The House Sound Of Chicago’. DJ International is a label with an outstanding discography populated by the now legendary artists of the time, untouchable DJs like Frankie Knuckles, Fingers Inc (Larry Heard & Robert Owens), Ron Hardy, Steve ‘Silk” Hurley, Farley ‘Jackmaster’ Funk, Joe Smooth, Darryl Pandy and Marshall Jefferson. With one eye on its past heritage and iconic status as well as a long-term view to bring the new and original House music acts of tomorrow, DJ International once again take their place alongside the other great labels of contemporary House Music culture.
