This is like a soundtrack for a horror-movie, 'Der Mond' armed with a selection of remixes from: DJ Worris, Reysan Khan, London Fever and Westwood Bros., just oozies quality! Don't get scared now, this is one erie motha...
The Poet, just another name snapped up by ANP, with previous releases like: Mirage&DJ Ari - French Affairs and The Blockbusters - Atlantis 1 (Green Court Mix), and now 'Der Mond' is their next little beauty, an erie vocal monster which should not be missed. All four mixes are dark, chunky driving trancers with that progressive feel. Acidy synths and driving beats are present throughout, and if you aint chicken, I really recomend this record.

A1) Der Mond (DJ Worris Mix) Introduction by a big long dark string synth, and a young girl singing what can only be described as a bedtime song, but after listening to this, it is impossible to sleep, it is dark and images of a haunted house can easliy be seen or a diserted city-scape even. Then this pumping house beat comes in, and it is bouncey and cool, and with the added piano accompanying it, it becomes quite pleasant, and can easily get a crowd moving. Some annoying male vocals come in, and it does become slightly boring, as the vocals totally ruin it, but forget the "singing" because everything else in this tune is class.
A2) Der Mond (Reysan Khan Mix) Similar intro, and why not? Dark, dark and very, very scary - don't have nightmares! Acidic synths and a belter of a beat starts and this tune is moving! Reysan Khan have been around for a while, and their knowlage is clearly presented in this track. The same annoying vocals are here, but placed on their own which improves them greatly - and straight after, we're back with the synths and beats from the beginning once more. Energy and power throughout!
B1) Der Mond (London Fever Mix) This is pritty straight forward, a cool beat, a nice bassline, some cool stabs and sheet-metal synths, a great tune which sounds like singing flies and those annoying vocals again. This track does the business, a great track! Not much can be said about it, and I can espect it will totally dominate in a club, especially when the erie vocals start again, they are so spooky and twisted - enough to send shivers down anybodies spine.
B2) Der Mond (Westwood Bros. Mix) Westwood Bros. recently released 'Special Tactics 4' and on this remix, I think they used some of them special tectics. A more harder-edged techno track, so a bit different from the rest, but this is probably the best remix. It is bangin', the beats just kick hard and you can imagine a packed club jumping up and down to this amazing track. Wierd, twisted and "out of key" synths start and it really is building. An essential track which I reacon Marco V and Mauro Picotto will be trying to get their hands on, a truely great remix by the Westwood posse!
Conclusion: Der Mond is one scary monster of a tune, and with the awesome Westwood Bros. and Reysan Khan on remix duties, this is worth the coinage. Go get it...
