© Wax FormatWax Format return home to Manchester for a very special open to close Vinyl set from its original founder Sam Mitcham as he plays a full on 8 hour set spinning the black stuff…

Wax Format is back to it's spiritual city of Manchester for a very special intimate journey on Saturday August 12th, in an amazing space literally next door to where it all began way back in 2012!

It's been talked about for many years, and it's finally happening! Mr vinyl himself - SAM MITCHAM - will be returning to Manchester for his trilogy solo set and biggest open to close challenge to date - no less than an epic 8 HOUR vinyl only marathon for Wax Format!

Renowned for being a very talented, entertaining and technically skilled DJ across multi genres [especially on the wax!], it's no secret Sam is also a name that has become synonymous with classics and vinyl in the Trance & Progressive world. The past decade has seen him hold down residencies at Godskitchen, Captured Ibiza, Digital Society and Liberation to name a few, as well as playing at nearly ever major event and festival relative to the genre. And as an original founding member and resident for Wax Format - and owner of arguably one of the finest vinyl collections we've seen - this will be one journey that promises to deliver seamless gem after gem like no other, in the most beautifully constructed manor! Music lovers and vinyl junkies assemble, this one is for you!

Sam will be taking over the one-of-a-kind roof top garden of Brickhouse Social for a unique sunset experience for the first half of the journey, before moving downstairs into the basement club at curfew, where things will hot up as he takes you into the early hours with hypnotic melodies and driving basslines.
