After a fairly lengthy hiatus, Fluid In Motion are back with a new piece of trancey progressiveness on the Subtraxx label...
The new track, 'Soul Dimension', is also the theme song for the Finnish club, Iglu, which is touring Finland between 05/02/2005 - 27/03/2005. Fluid in Motion is a collaboration between Finnish producer Miika Kuisma (a.k.a. AR52) and Singaporean tech-guru Luke Chen. This is the first release from Fluid In Motion since their remix of Christopher Lawrence's 'Nitro' on UK based label UG. This latest track is available only as a digital download from Audiojelly.com and TrackItDown.net online stores.

1) Soul Dimension (Original Mix) 'Soul Dimension' is essentially progressive trance in style, so it takes its time to slowly build on its basic foundations of a beat and a lonely hi-hat. The sound soon fills up though, as bass notes begin to rumble and sustained synth notes line the background and allows the track to slide onwards easily. The lead element begins during one of the breakdowns and evolves quickly into something chilled and relaxing as the track drops itself back into play. The sound you hear is quite reminiscent of Markus Schultz' sound. One of the important things to note about this track is that because it is quite a progressive track, it doesn't rely on one big lead or chord sequence, but on a whole host of smaller parts to build itself up and fuel the main sections. There are lots of small sfx blips and bops which can be easily overlooked and there are a few hints of stringed synths and even some very slight female vocals in there also. Its one of those tracks which you need to hear several times in order to pick out all of its components and its then that you realise the effort required to create and combine all of these elements.
Conclusion:
A solid piece of progressive trance which flows very well and has a really nice chilled and relaxing feel to it.
