The second disc of the first release on Marco V.'s brand new label arises, serving a new version by Marco himself and a more techno-ish set of mixes on the flip... Check it out!

Here's the link for the Disc 1 review in case you haven't read it yet.

While the first vinyl slice of this track included the dancefloor-approved original and the more monotone, techy remix by DJ Preach, this second disc brings us a slightly softer version on side A (which will also feature on Marco's upcoming album) backed by 2 techno remixes on side B.

A: Album Extended
The build of this version of 'More Than A Life Away' is a lot less straight-to-the-point than the one used in the Original. Strange FX, a not too hard bassdrum and this uberfilthy and dark sounding set of basses and synths guide you onwards, being backed by the first portion of the still original sounding vocals. An inventive use of multiple gimmicks and cool sounds serve as a worthy tool to bring in some more energy, getting you ready for the break to come. The melody we heard before returns here, but this time in a somewhat phatter sound it seems. With the melody bursting out continuously, a bit of cool breakbeats keep the variation at the right level, and when the climax hits in you'll notice that this just might work on a dancefloor as well. The bassline is not that noticeable in this mix (as opposed to the one in the Original), but the cool FX and well-crafted percussion make this a cool addition to the versions we've heard already!
Rating: 7/10

B1: Joy-T Suko Remix
Joy-T Suko is a producer from Spain, and is also known as DJ Ray, the alias with which he has just released his track 'Electric' on Cor Fijneman's Outstanding label. At first hearing, the percs start off in a very timid way. Some typical techno-ish sounds are being thrown in, but everything starts to shape up really well when the full experience starts to kick in: a fierce uses of both basses and effective sounds give the build an amazingly driving vibe, with more and more stuff being added the whole time. A first mini-break brings us a lot of silence, but also a hint to the melody from the original. A slightly altered version of the vocals is being backed by this up and down going bit of basses, enabling the booming percs to ignite themselves to the maximum level again. Clues to the main synth from the original are being dropped in and out of the track, ultimately building out to the full melody. A more tensionbuilding version of the break we heard before is being built up now, including phat synths and a superb climax. Cool stuff!
Rating: 8/10

B2: Joy-T Suko Dub
This one's more or less the same as the remix, with the only differences being the fact that there are no vox in this one and that the duration is two minutes shorter. Might be nice for the people who are not too fond of the vocals, but do like the nice techno-ish vibe and melodies.

Conclusion:
All in all a very decent remix disc. The album version is cool, and the remixes by Spanish talent DJ Ray definitely add something to the other mixes.
Marco's next single is called 'Second Bite' and will include remixes by Wally Lopez and D-Formation.
