Toolroom Records presents a new Robbie Rivera release and it’s definitely a release that most house lovers will appreciate. Read on..
Robbie Rivera is without a doubt one of the hottest names in the house scene. With ‘Your Mistake’ Robbie proves again why that is. Richard Dinsdale and Herd & Fitz are responsible for the remixes.
A1) Original Mix
Your Mistake is one of those tracks which can set the whole dancefloor on fire in a short time. The reason why this is is that the track has some great basslines and above all big room horns. Next to this the singer Katie Marnie is putting some quality vocals in the tune what makes the track only more addicting. Especially the playing with the vocals through the horns should make the dancefloor mad.
B1) Herd & Fitz Remix
Herd & Fitz, mostly known from their hit ‘I Just Can’t Get Enough’ are delivering a more funky remix. Nice funk-filled basslines take control in this mix, together with some little use of synths and the vocals of Katie it results in a decent house tune, but is not that special.
B2) Richard Dinsdale Remix
Richard Dinsdale comes with a more electrohousy remix with some real fat grinding basslines and effects. Also the vocals are cut up for this remix and this results in a very rhythmic groovy track. In the break some more playing with the vocal is done and the horn from the original comes back in an original way. After the break the basslines, vocals ánd the horn come together what should guarantee success on the dancefloor.
Conclusion:
A great release with some nice mixes, where especially Richard Dinsdale’s and Robbie Rivera’s mixes stand out. The Herd & Fitz Remix is more a standard house tune, but with it's nice funky sound it's certainly able to move people on the floor.
