Two new uplifting tracks from a new project, Temple1, on the now well established Trance Revolution Recordings. Are they up to scratch? Early indications all point to a big fat "Yes!"...
:: Temple1 - Eternal Light / Silent Nature :: Trance Revolution Recordings :: TRR010
1) Eternal Light It's always good to see new names popping up, especially on labels like TRR. It's even better when these new names bring along new tracks which have an instant impact and that's exactly what happens here with 'Eternal Light'. Immediately the kicks are tough and punchy, and there is a nicely thought out ambient essence which swirls around before the main bassline kicks in. From here it's a determined rise ever upwards with increasing layers of super-trancey synths and melodic chord changes. Even at these stages, the synthline is highly energetic and active and it brings on waves of anticipation of what's to come. The breakdown sees the lead synth take over and pour out a spine tingling melodic run which is comprised of some mindblowing chord changes. This carries on after the beat returns so you can bathe in something which is basically the true essence and flavour of quality, uplifting trance.
2) Silent Nature Keeping inline with what's already been laid out, Temple1 stays with the punchy kicks, but that's only to provide the main drive of this track. Instead of uplifting, energetic trance, we have cool, methodical, surging trance which has a few extra degrees of energy that keep it out of full on progressive trance territories. The main feature of this track is the thick, beautiful pads which fill the track from the ground up with a euphoric yet deep wave of energy. There is some more synthy action on top of this, especially post-breakdown which rolls arpeggios in and out in more sustained trancey waves. The chord changes here have a fantastically epic feel to them too, which helps give this track the edge over the rest of the more mellow trance out there.
Conclusion:
Two spot on tracks. 'Silent Nature' is very strong indeed although a little repetitive - but that's a very, very minor issue in light of the track's overall quality. 'Eternal Light', however, is truly awesome and will rock you and any trancefloor out there. Don't miss!
